Turo pricing case study

 

Synopsis

Turo is the largest peer to peer car sharing company in the US based out of San Francisco. It serves as a marketplace for people who own cars (hosts) to share their cars with people who need a car (guests).

I have had the opportunity to work on various projects that helped the business improve the pricing health across the marketplace.

Objective

Build better tools that help hosts price their vehicles to meet demand.

 

Project one (2018)

Incentivizing hosts to use Automatic Pricing

After conducting initial research, we gave hosts more control in order to increase adoption of Automatic Pricing.

Project two (2022)

Increasing Trust

With continued feedback from hosts, we set out to improve pricing controls and offer hosts insights that would help them make smarter decisions when setting prices for their vehicles.
